Interest in policies, procedures, and practices relevant to school mental health have burgeoned in recent years – yet much remains unknown or unexplored with regard to how best to use schools in supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of all children. For example, what assessment systems for early identification of risk demonstrate the optimal balance between defensibility and usability? What does the national landscape of policies relevant to school mental health look like? And, how do stakeholders view the purpose, value, and effectiveness of various service delivery models for supporting social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students? In this brown bag, current issues in school mental health will be explored through active discussion around key topics critical for future research agendas.
