This SIG will provide a guided discussion of the Native Communities-Alcohol Intervention Review, NIAAA. It's misssion is to provide information about the literature on prevention and treatment interventions for Native communities. Pursuing this goal will enhance the delivery of public health services and advance intervention research for Native peoples. It's first goal is develop a reveiw process and website for sharing information on preventing Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) in Native communities (pilot). Future goals are to collaborate with Native community public health and research professionals to review prevention and treatment strategies for other alcohol problems within Native communities.
