This presention and discussion will explore the need for rigorous research on implementation and translation of community-focused prevention strategies using examples from the previous presentations and the field at large. The presentation will explore how concepts and methods from dissemination and implementation (D&I) research, which has led to advances in clinical and health systems practice, may be usefully applied to advance community-level prevention research and dissemination. This will include consideration of the ways in which such approaches as training, technical assistance, learning collaboratives, continuous feedback, and performance incentives could be used to promote maximum uptake and implementation of desired strategies. Others in attendance will be invited to share their own experiences and thoughts related to the conduct and future of community-level prevention interventions.
