In this invited symposium, presenters will highlight the imperative of intentionally addressing the economic context for prevention to reach its promise.   The symposium will begin with an overview of current data that illustrates rising income equality in America. Research on preventive behavior economics approaches that focus on levers/nudges for parents of young children will follow.  Next, findings from the NYC CCT trial that show impacts on adolescent substance use will be highlighted.
