ECPN LUNCHEON: THE SCIENCE AND ART OF NEGOTIATION

Negotiation is a stressful, but necessary aspect of any job.  This session is designed to provide early career preventionists the negotiation skills needed to support the development of an independent career.  Interactive activities will focus on framing negotiation as a leadership skill, identifying obstacles to successful negotiation, and practicing specific negotiation techniques.  Common areas of negotiation including initial job offers and promotions, manuscript credit attribution, and division of responsibilities will be discussed.
