SIG: Implementing and Evaluating High School PBIS and Safe & Supportive Schools

This SIG will provide an informal opportunity to discuss current widespread state and federal initiatives (Safe and Supportive Schools, PBIS)  with high schools to improve school climate, student safety, and to deal more positively with behavioral and discipline issues. The goals of these initiatives are to structure safe and supportive learning environments in which disruptive behavior in minimized and evidence-based behavioral interventions predominate.  We will briefly discuss our work in program implementation and evaluation, network with others working in this arena, and open  a dialogue regarding potential prevention research direction and collaborations.
